Recently, a new designer collection from Lebanon - Elie Saab - was presented to the general public in Paris. His inspiration was inspired by the story of the Anglo-Irish Countess Lila Wingfried about her extraordinary journey to India in the early 20th century.

With the help of decorations, reminiscent of real tropical jungle, incredible combinations of clothes and accessories that were not previously seen in the designer's collections, Eli Saab managed to convey the spirit of real adventure. Let's get a look.

So, not for fun, fascinated by Indian motifs, the couturier created an amazing collection of feminine dresses in Victorian style.

Based on the traditional Indian saree and adding the silhouettes of the aristocratic England of the time, it turned out incredible attractive dresses, inspired by memories of the era of King Edward.

In addition to the aristocratic silhouettes, most dresses have high collars.

Travel is closely related to the safari style. And here, Elie Saab managed to beat the usual dress shirt in a new way.

The podium played with a gradient of fabrics from light more restrained lavender tones to bright flashes of sapphire.

Ultra light fabrics (lace, silk) decorated:

  • volume lace;
  • generous embroidery handmade silver threads;
  • stitching beads and stones;
  • guipure inserts.

And the unusual drapery gave the dresses some restraint and refinement.

In addition to discreet but luxurious models, the collection also has the same luxurious dress in nude style. With rhinestones and stones, an original pattern is laid out by hand, worthy of becoming an ornament of the queen herself.

As for the length, there are several short lace versions with long sleeves and short front models with long backs.

Not without experiments in the styles. So Saab came to an amazing combination:

  • classic trousers combined with removable skirts to the floor;
  • dresses with sari-like capes and jackets richly embroidered with stones;
  • skirt-shorts;
  • dresses - sari with fringed tops. In the form of African fringe served pearls and beads, strung on long threads.

Traditionally, a haute couture collection ends with a wedding dress. This time, Elie Saab created a closed wedding dress, embroidered with crystals, with a long train and a cape instead of a veil.

With regards to selected accessories, oriental couturier exceeded all expectations. Banal clutches gave way to elegant waist bags. The collection also includes bright hats, studded with stones - caps and hoops.

And, perhaps, the most unexpected was the choice of shoes to complete the image of the traveler - these are rough high lace-up shoes, decorated with chains and pins and minimalist sandals without heels.

It is very difficult to accurately convey the whole idea of couturier. It must be seen with my own eyes. There will be no indifferent, that's for sure!

Without a doubt, in the near future the stars will sparkle in dresses from Saab at social events.
