Every self-respecting manicurist should have all the necessary tools, including an autoclave. However, not many people know how to choose this unit and how to use it correctly.

What is it needed for?

The manicure autoclave is intended for complete disinfection and disinfection of manicure devices.

With the help of high temperature, complete destruction of harmful bacteria and other dangerous substances is achieved.

In general, the autoclave is divided into three main types.

  1. Ball sterilizer. A handy device with a deep tank in which sand is poured. The device itself is small, so it is very convenient to carry it, and it does not take up much space.
  2. UV. Unreliable apparatus, since ultraviolet radiation is not able to kill many dangerous microorganisms. If we even process the tools in such a machine, then as a secondary treatment.
  3. Ultrasonic. It is considered the safest tool, as it uses a special solution that penetrates into all the nooks of the instruments to be sterilized.

    The device can be used to process the following items:

    • medical devices;
    • surgical instruments;
    • manicure tools;
    • dental devices;
    • various containers and other containers;
    • tools for all sorts of operations.

    The autoclave itself is a closed metal box in which the processing of instruments takes place at extremely high temperatures, namely at 1000–1500 degrees. As a rule, this device is made of durable metal, which makes it reliable and durable. Depending on the company, the autoclave may be portable.

    How to choose?

    To choose the necessary device, first of all it is necessary to understand - and for what it will be needed. Having identified all the desired functions of the autoclave, it will be much easier to choose.

    If the manicure work will be carried out in large salons, the device should have a large camera. If the work is carried out at home, then the volume of the device is not important.

    Before you buy a product, you should consult with the seller, find out where you can install this device, what is the optimum temperature. It is also important to take into account the fact that all the instruments in the chamber should be laid down in a very thin layer. There are “smart” machines that have automatic devices. As a rule, they themselves set the optimum temperature and complete the sterilization process themselves. However, it is not difficult to guess that the price of such goods will be significantly higher than the rest.

    The most popular are the following devices:

    • IRISK Professional ABC;
    • Germix;
    • Jessnail JN9007.

    Instructions for processing manicure devices

    For proper processing you need to know the following rules.

    1. Before you begin sterilizing devices, you must prepare them - for this they should be soaked in a special disinfectant solution for 1-2 hours.
    2. After the implementation of the disinfecting procedure, the instruments should be cleaned from skin, nails and other particles that interfere with work. This should be done with a small brush. After the tools have been cleansed of skin and nails, they should be thoroughly rinsed under running cold water.
    3. Now all devices need to be thoroughly dried with a paper towel, now they are ready for sterilization in an autoclave.
    4. So, having cleaned the nail accessories from the excess, you can start working directly with the autoclave. All tools are required to be assembled and placed in the capacity of the apparatus and set the temperature acceptable for the instruments. Processing should last at least one hour, only then you can be sure that all microbes have been destroyed.

        We should not forget about the safety rules when working with such a machine.

        1. The most important thing to remember is that when working with any equipment you should read the instructions intended for it.
        2. To avoid overheating, install the device in a safe place, which is usually indicated in the instructions.
        3. We must not forget that after processing the tools are very hot, so you should never take them with your bare hands. However, there are autoclaves in which automatic cooling is present, which makes operation easier.
        4. In no case should you try to repair the device yourself in case of its breakage and malfunction.
        5. In general, it is important to observe all operating rules and regularly monitor the condition of the device.
