In humans, these cells have 3 types:

In addition to the fact that dogs do not perceive a decent range of colors and are well oriented in the dark, their vision has other features. This time they are associated with clarity and breadth of perception.

Dog can not boast of visual acuity. The reason for this is the absence of a yellow spot on its retina, characteristic of the human eye. It is here that a large number of cones are concentrated.
