Having prepared the necessary parts, proceed to the assembly of the product:

• excess allowance on the sides is cut;
• ready-made cord handles of 48 cm each are sewn to the upper edge;
• measuring the desired length of the perimeter of the top, making a turn from strips, sizing it with a glue pad;
• the facing is pinned to the top of the bag and stitched, then a finishing line is laid;
• two strips are fastened in the center of the zipper, the edges are closed with the remnants of textiles;
• slat stitched to the bag stitching;
• if the model includes pockets, they are first attached to the lining, and then assembled, not forgetting to add volume to the sides;

• lining stitched to the base, then turn out the bag;

• a decorative element is made of a small circle: using a needle and thread, the wedges are assembled in the center, then the assembly place is covered with a buckle or a large button;
• it remains to sew a decor, and the bag is ready!

From an old umbrella you can sew a sports model, from which you are not ashamed to send a child to a sports club or to school for a physical education class. You need textiles from an umbrella, shoes (for measuring), a piece of leather or leatherette for the bottom, a long zipper and sewing accessories.

Bag making technology is quite simple:

• the fabric is separated from the frame, washed, then unpacked and ironed;

• on the canvas of leather (leatherette) put shoes of the right size, circle and give an allowance of 2-3 cm around the perimeter;

• after the stroke, the “bottom” in the shape of a rectangle is trimmed, folding it in half;

• on the pattern obtained cut out the bottom and from the base fabric;

• The wedges are ground in such a way that the corners look in one direction through the wedge, then the grinding sections are fixed with finishing lines (the perimeter of the wedges is equal to the perimeter of the bottom);

• the bottom must be smooth, if there is not enough fabric along the top edge, a small triangle can be inserted;

• top cut trimmed with scissors;
• having stitched a side cut of the base, a leather strip is stitched to the bottom cut, stitching it into a ring;
• the bottom of the base fabric is attached to the workpiece, getting exactly into the seam of the stitching;

• from the remnants of the base fabric (umbrella) make two loops 0.7 cm wide, then pin them to the bottom of the leather and fix the second strap, assembled in a ring;

• zipper sewn to the free edges of the slats (its length is equal to the bottom perimeter);
• from the side of the back (opposite to that where the loops) two loops are swept out, after which the upper cut is turned over and stitched with a seam into the hem with a closed edge;

• it remains to loop long strings and fasten its ends.

A small caveat: if you do not want to make loops, you can simply tuck the top allowance on the wrong side and stitch it, leaving a place to put the lace on the sides (opposite the bottom loops).

The most difficult and time consuming is to separate the textile of the umbrella from the base, wash it by hand and carefully cut it into separate fragments without tearing the edges. After that you need to iron the entire area of ​​parts.

If there are two umbrellas - so even more interesting: the bag will be spectacular. There is no need for a pattern to work: this is a simple model, so you should not waste time drawing a rectangle. If you want smooth lines, it is better to use a long ruler, measuring the desired length (rectangular pattern).

Only 4 wedges will be needed from the base: you need to stitch them together so that the corners of the wedges alternate.

Before you connect the workpiece into a ring, you need to lay the finishing line. In addition to the decorative function, they will add reliability to the bag. Umbrella textiles are not showered, so the edge can not be processed on the overlock.

Combining the canvas in the ring, handle the bottom. To do this, it is double folded and stitched on a typewriter. If this is difficult to do right away, you can simply stitch the bottom, connecting the front and back, and then seam the hem with a closed edge. The upper cut is turned to the desired width and stitched with a seam in the hem.

For pens, they grind two wedges so that the corners look in different directions (a rectangle is obtained). Then the resulting fabric is cut into strips of the desired width.

Details can be glued, then stitch two and twisting overlapped, stitch a decorative stitching. After closing the ends of the handles (hidden inside), they are attached to the base. A simple bag, with the tailoring of which the beginner can handle, is ready!
