There are several types of outerwear that never go out of fashion, and include trench coats. Production of these things began during the First World War, and initially they were sewn for infantrymen, but over time, civilians began to wear raincoats, and not only men, but also women. Today trench coats produce world famous brands, including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel.

Features

Every woman of fashion in the wardrobe there is a raincoat-trench, because it is universal and suitable for any outfit. In addition, despite the restrained cut, he is able to emphasize femininity and give the silhouette the correct shape, so not only slender girls, but also owners of magnificent forms wear it with pleasure.

Trench has several features that make it recognizable among other types of raincoats:

  • cuffs on the cuffs;
  • yoke on the shelf and back;
  • imitation shoulder straps;
  • buckle belt made from the same material as the cloak itself;
  • straight cut, but sometimes there are slightly fitted models;
  • the turn-down collar consisting of 2 parts, and lower has a fastener;
  • pockets with flaps, which are fastened with a button.

The length of the trench in the classic version reaches the knees, but modern models can be slightly shorter. For sewing products mainly use gabardine cotton fabric impregnated with water-repellent compounds, which allows you to wear them boldly in the rain without being afraid to get wet. Buttons arranged in 2 rows act as fasteners, but single-breasted models are also found.

Cloak and trench - what's the difference?

Trench can be called a certain variation of the cloak, only it has a number of features that are necessarily observed when sewing: fabric, cut, length, collar and so on. While the cloak can be absolutely anything - long or short, with zippers or buttons, with a turn-down collar or stand, with a belt and without.

Another important feature is the fabric - a special waterproof material is used for the trench, and other fabrics are acceptable for raincoats, such as denim, velvet or leather.

The main difference can be called the fact that the trench suit almost every woman, it is not difficult to choose, even despite the huge range. As for the cloak, you will have to re-measure more than a dozen models to find the best option.

Beige and brown. In a classic bow, this trench coat will go well with white, brown and black flowers. But so that the image does not look boring, it should be diluted with pink or yellow shades.

Gray. All shades of gray go well with black, white, purple and pale pink things.

White. It is not recommended to combine a white trench with two or more colors, you should choose only one. The most striking combination will be white with coral or scarlet, especially for blondes.

Red. When choosing a bright outerwear, all other elements of the image should be more restrained shades. The best addition to the red color will be sky blue, white, gray and dark blue tones.

Blue. To create a harmonious bow, it is recommended to combine a blue cape with turquoise or blue elements. Fans of extravagance should pick up things orange or yellow.

Green and Khaki. To these shades should pick up bright things so that the image does not look gloomy. The most winning will be silver-gray, white, olive and mint shades.

Yellow. Owners of yellow trench will always be in the spotlight. This energetic color looks good in tandem with black, white and blue.

Pink.Depending on the saturation of the shade, a pink trench coat can be worn with things of yellow, crimson, coral and white colors. Black and dark-gray tones can add some severity.

When choosing a trench color, it is recommended to take into account its purpose, for example, discreet colors are suitable for everyday wear — black, brown, beige, gray, and for special occasions you can purchase brighter products. The question of the color of the raincoat is also important from the practical side, because muted tones are easy to combine with everyday clothes and shoes at low speed, and bright products look good in combination with a more elegant bow - heels, blouse and skirt.
