In recent years, among all the cosmetic beauty treatments, wraps have become the most demanded, thanks to which you can tighten the body, make the skin much fresher and, of course, say goodbye to extra pounds. Algal wraps are the most effective.

What it is?

For cosmetic purposes, a special type of algae is used - kelp. Extracts from this plant are often included in creams, various masks and tonics for the skin, while at the same time algae themselves are a very good way to put your body in order. Kelp is a real pantry of nutrients, vitamins and trace elements, which have the most beneficial effects on cells and tissues.

  • Iodine. This trace element is accumulated in sea kale in a fairly significant amount, and its shape is readily available for the human body, therefore, it is quickly absorbed in full. Due to this, kelp is especially useful for people suffering from iodine deficiency, and it is far from a secret that this is a common problem for all residents of megalopolises with their unfavorable ecological situation and the frantic pace of life.
  • Alginates. They are substances that remove all toxins and slags from the human body, these macronutrients are strong sorbents, so they can even fight against tumor states.
    • Fatty acid. Useful polyunsaturated fatty acids are essential for humans, they improve blood circulation in the skin and tissues, help improve the nutrition of organs and stabilize metabolic processes.
    • Vitamins. Laminaria contains all the B vitamins, as well as ascorbic and nicotinic acid, retinol, thanks to which the skin is nourished and its condition improved.
    • Trace elements In addition to iodine, seaweed contains quite a lot of potassium, sodium, and also phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and manganese. All these elements play a crucial role in stabilizing the life processes of the whole organism, including the skin.

Sea kale wrap is performed on various areas of the body that need correction. Especially often the procedures are performed on the legs, buttocks, hips and breasts. It regenerates the skin, tightens it, improves turgor and elasticity, improves the overall condition.

    Types of algae

For spa wraps use 2 options.

    • Sheet kelp. It is a whole thallus of dried algae that have undergone a special treatment. As a rule, they are used for wrapping large areas of the body. It is noteworthy that you can use them several times a week. However, they are not suitable for the preparation of complex masks.
    • Algae powder. In cosmetology, it is denoted by the term "micronized alga". This option is suitable for multi-component wraps. For example, the combination of powder with clay is very popular, and combinations with honey, red pepper and essential oils also have a good effect.

It is convenient to mix the powder and apply it on the body, however, such a composition can be applied only once. Stretching the use of the same portion of powder for several procedures, unlike sheets, will not work.

    Benefit

Seaweed wraps will be especially useful to all those who suffer from excess body fat, cellulite, and increased skin sensitivity. A home wrap significantly improves the supply of skin cells with blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients to them, and in addition, such procedures fill with energy and significantly enhance immunity.

The components of sea kale increase the adaptive and regenerative ability of the skin., thanks to which they allow her to return the desired tone and reduce the “orange peel” that many women face. Laminaria also contributes to the active elimination of excess fluid from the body, due to which swelling is reduced, and unnecessary kilograms leave.

Depending on the handling technique, the wrapping can be hot or cold. During the hot, the pores expand, through which all impurities are removed from the body, blood circulation is improved and metabolic processes are normalized. During cold procedures, the body is subjected to stress, due to this, the skin works in an enhanced mode, which stimulates its recovery and improves tone. Such procedures relieve stress and relieve fatigue.

    Contraindications and harm

Any cosmetic procedure has its own contraindications, and algal wraps are no exception. It is important to ensure that you do not have an individual intolerance to the main components of the mask, in particular, there is no allergy to iodine. The procedure may not be appointed by everyone.

    • So, wraps are contraindicated in pregnancy, cardiovascular pathologies and oncology.
    • Imposition of algae is not recommended on the skin with open wounds, dermatitis, inflammation, weeping eczema, deep abrasions and burns.
    • Algae should not be applied immediately after epilation. In addition, general malaise and high body temperature can be a contraindication to algal wrapping.

How to carry out a wrapping?

First, let's see what is the difference between hot and cold exposure. Both types of procedures can easily be performed at home. The first option is aimed at reducing cellulite, and the second is aimed at reducing puffiness and relieving symptoms of fatigue, which is particularly acute in the lower extremities. Cold wrap is recommended for all women who want to tighten their skin, make it younger and fresher, as well as those who suffer from edema. In both cases, parallel to the splitting of excess fat and, consequently, weight loss.

Very often kelp is combined with clay. In this case, the powders are simply mixed and diluted with water. As a rule, white or blue clay is used, the mixture is applied for 30-40 minutes, after which it is thoroughly washed off with light massage movements. Such masks help in the shortest possible time to get rid of cellulite, improve skin elasticity and level it.

Wrapping can be carried out only on a cleansed body, so first you need to take a shower or a bath, preferably with sea salt, be sure to apply a scrub, optimally with salt. If you have the opportunity to visit the sauna, this will only enhance the effectiveness of the procedure.

    Techniques for both procedures vary.

    • In order to conduct a hot wrap, you need to prepare 100 g of dry algae, steam them with water (70-85 g) and let it brew for about 30 minutes. Sea kale is applied to the problem areas in a heated form, the composition should have a temperature of about 40 degrees. Instead of the sheet component, you can use the powder, in this case it is taken and brewed in the same weight proportions. After the kelp is applied, wrap the body with cling film, lie down and cover with a warm blanket. After 30-40 minutes, you can wash off the mask, preferably under a contrast shower.Such procedures improve blood flow, pull out all pores and harmful toxins from the pores, and in addition, they promote cell nourishment and hydration of the epidermis. At the same time, the severity of cellulite decreases.
    • Cold wrapping. In order to prepare an effective composition, you should take about 100 g of kelp and soak for 3-4 hours in cool water. Soaked algae are applied to the body for 40 minutes, additional warming is not required. As soon as the time of the procedure expires, you need to take a refreshing shower and rub care or anti-cellulite cream. Keep in mind that from one procedure you will not notice any visual effect. Wraps should be carried out in a course of 10-20 sessions, while their frequency should be 1-2 per week. In order to enhance efficiency, massage can be performed before manipulations, but it should be light, you should not be zealous here. The skin should be heated, but not pounded.

Optimally, if you alternate between cold and hot procedures, if you wish, you can hold a second course with a break of one month. Wraps can and should be combined with other beneficial procedures, such as sports, diet and massage.

    Reviews

Women who resort to sea kale wraps at home leave only the most favorable reviews about the procedure. It is very important that algae can be found in any pharmacy at a fairly affordable price, so carrying out procedures at home is much cheaper than salon care that not every woman of the weaker sex can afford.

The recipe for making a mask is simple: seaweed is simply steamed. Powder masks are easy to apply, and the leaves easily fall on the body, so all the necessary manipulations can be carried out independently, without the help of outsiders. The effectiveness of the procedures is consistently high: after a month, you can see visible improvements in the overall appearance and condition of the skin, it becomes much smoother, firmer and fresher, the orange peel is reduced, and unwanted volumes are gone. Live algae gives a very good anti-cellulite effect, and the overall improvement in well-being, the feeling of strength and lightness throughout the body becomes a pleasant bonus.
