Manicure is a creative and painstaking process, moreover, quite a long one. In order for the client to be satisfied with the process, the workplace must be equipped with “5 plus”. One of the necessary attributes on the master's table is a manicure stand or arm stand or cushion (roller). With their help, the creative process for both the client and the performer will truly be a pleasant pastime.

Advantages and disadvantages

A stand or pillow for a manicure under the arm will help relieve the tension of the back and neck. It will gently support the client’s hand, and his back will automatically acquire the “correct” shape. At the same time, the master himself must be in a comfortable position.

Manicure stand is an excellent attribute to protect the cervical spine and the spine during prolonged exertion. It should be noted that at present it is not difficult to acquire such an attribute.

How to choose a stand for manicure?

If you decide to purchase this accessory in the store, then pay attention to the following points:

  1. whether all seams are properly sealed;
  2. missing nails and screws;
  3. plugs should be in tone material;
  4. glue should not be visible;
  5. reliability of construction: the accessory should not creak and stagger, but have a stable position;
  6. There should be no scratches, stains, scuffs.

However, such a purchase has its drawbacks: the price of the stand varies from 1.5 to 2.5 thousand rubles, which is quite expensive. Another common problem when buying a manicure holder for the arm is its incorrectly sized. In this case, the stand can be made by hand. This will give the opportunity to create the desired attribute of pleasant colors and corresponding to the size of the lamp, as well as help save money.

Independent production of the rack

So, for the manufacture of the rack (in finished form it will cost about 2 thousand rubles) under the lamp (size 20x15x10 cm) we take the following materials.

    • Wooden slats (10-15 mm wide, 35 cm long) are fastened together with white glue. As a result, we get one “plate” 16 cm wide, which we then divide into 3 shields using a jigsaw. Next, we get the shields with clamps and wait for the glue to harden.
    • When the glue is dry, we proceed to the grinding of wooden plates. The ends are aligned with the planer. We get three flat shields of the same length and width.
    • To give an aesthetic appearance, round the ends of the boards with a jigsaw (a cardboard stencil will help, which will make the corners of the same size)
    • We proceed to the manufacture of walls for the stand (their length is 11 cm). We build walls from rails (their width is 16 cm).
    • As a result, we obtain five parts: the lower, upper, and main shield (we cover it with a cloth), the left and right walls.
    • Getting to the assembly. We take evroshurupy (confirmantti) and drill a hole under them with a drill. We construct a stand of 4 parts, while without the main shield, which will be covered with a cloth. This detail requires careful preparation - it needs to be shortened (literally 1 cm) using a jigsaw.
    • We take the main shield and glue foam rubber to it (Dragon glue will do).
    • The next step is to cover the upper part with a cloth. We use natural skin (easy to wipe and disinfect). We take a piece of leather with a "stock", for a complete grasp of the shield.
    • We attach the made upper part to the general construction with the help of self-tapping screws.
    • At the final stage we cover a homemade manicure holder with a hand varnish and allow to dry.

    Making a roller: walkthrough

    Another accessory for a comfortable manicure is a pillow (roller). It can also be purchased at a specialty store and do it yourself. The process is not the most difficult, but painstaking.

    1. Make a pattern of the required size.
    2. We get the main part of a rectangular shape (the edges will be connected by a seam) and two circles (sides of the pillow). The sizes are different: the side elements are 13 cm, the width of the main part is 28 cm, the length is 41 cm.
    3. We twist a piece of foam rubber in the form of a roller, previously oiled with glue.
    4. We sheathe the pillow with a cloth (it should be wet treated). In the first place - the main part, then - the sides.
    5. The colors of the fabric for the pillow can be different, but not annoying.

    A comfortable, high-quality manicure holder is an excellent tool for craftsmen and clients.
