Easy for girls for 1-3 years

Having only one pattern of a one-piece dress for a girl, you can sew many different models.

The model presented below has a lining and is buttoned at the shoulders with the help of buttons. You can sew it from any thin or thick fabric.

Pattern

You can find a suitable pattern for a full-length dress in magazines, or you can make it yourself, using a T-shirt or blouse that sits well on the girl as a template.

How does this happen?

  • Take a large sheet of paper or a roll of wallpaper.
  • Spread out the paper, spread out the shirt and circle the neck and armhole. Then make flare in the form of a trapezoid and round off the bottom. It is not scary if the thing you have chosen is high waist or there is a strong flare. Paint the model, and then remove the excess and finish drawing the right one, adjust the depth of the armhole and neck. The main thing is that the shoulder bevels, chest width and height of the armhole are already there.
  • When describing the pattern can get asymmetric. This is not scary, because for cutting one half is taken, naturally the best.
  • If you encircle the blouse with sleeves, then with a needle, walk along the armhole of the product. Traces will remain on paper and you can beautifully put them together with a pencil. In the same way you can make a separate sleeve pattern.

Cutting and tailoring

  1. Cut the front and back of the lining fabric.
  2. Cut out the cut parts on the main fabric and cut out.
  3. Sew along the side seams in front and back of the lining and the main fabric.
  4. Match the tops of the two fabrics and secure with pins.
  5. Sew through and cut edges.
  6. Turn and smooth out the seams.

Hem

  1. Wrap the hem of the dress inside, turn out the dress and sew it, leaving about 5 cm for re-turning.
  2. After twisting the dress, fold it inward in the unwrapped hole of the edge, smooth them and gash them.
  3. In the upper sections of the dress also lay a line.

On the shoulders of the front mark the location of sewing buttons and holes for the loops. Then make loops and sew the buttons covered with the main fabric.

Summer dress dress without a pattern

To sew such a cute sundress, the pattern is not needed at all and there is also no need to trace around, so a newcomer will handle the dress. This model is suitable for girls of any age and physique, since the width and length is made at its discretion.

  • First we need to measure the volume of the girl’s breasts and decide on a long sundress. Multiply the volume by 1.5 or 2 to form beautiful folds and not crush the chest area. The length is measured from the armhole, plus 1.5 cm for the top edge and 4 cm for the bottom hem are added to it.
  • Open the rectangle, fold it face down in half and sew it along the side.
  • Do the hem of the upper cut and hem. Edges can be processed with a zigzag line.
  • Scribble on the dress 5-10 rows of thread-elastic zigzag stitching, or winding the elastic on the bobbin.
  • Make of contrast fabric 2 straps with a length of 90 cm and stitch to the front.
  • From the fabric as the dress, make 2 stripe loops 5x25 cm and stitch to the back.
  • Stretch the straps into the loops and tie them to the bow.

Baptismal

Still very small, the children are pure and innocent, and very similar to angels, especially during such a solemn ceremony, because white robes maximize this effect.

Baptismal dresses usually have a simple cut, so they are sewn quickly. So let's get started.

Bodice

Make a top pattern using any method convenient for you. There will be a button closure on the back, so add a few centimeters to the strap.

  • Dig out the details of satin and lining fabric, then sew in front and back of each fabric.
  • Stitch together the top of satin and lining fabric on the neck, folding them face down. To the edges do not crumble, process them with a zigzag line.
  • Turn the bodice and iron.

Sleeves

  • Make a pattern of sleeves and dig them out.
  • Sort a little at the bottom and at the top.
  • Open up 2 bands to trim the bottom of the sleeves. Their length is equal to the length of the bottom of the sleeve, and make the width arbitrary, given that it will be folded in half.
  • Sew on the bands on one side, then tuck in and sew on the other side.
  • Sew on the sleeves and smooth the seams.
  • On the back, make eyelets or sew Velcro.

Skirt

The skirt will consist of 3 layers:

  • Lower. From the lining fabric, open a rectangle of the same width as the bottom of the bodice, but the length is shorter by 5-6 cm from the main length.
  • Average. From a satin fabric, open a rectangle with a width equal to two widths of the lower edge of the bodice. That is, if the bottom of the front and back is 46 cm, then the width of the rectangle will be 92-100 cm. Length do as you wish.
  • Upper. The width of the second rectangle will be 2 times larger, that is, 184-200 cm and make the length a couple of centimeters shorter.

Sew each of the rectangles along the side seam. Top zigzag, and then add up to the desired size.

Put all the layers together and sew them, then sew them to the top.

Make the hem of the skirts.

From the strips of fabric make flowers.

Smart

In girls, no less than in adults, there are reasons to wear an elegant dress. Therefore, we propose to sew a romantic model with ruffles.

Calculations

  1. The upper frill should close the seam of attaching the next tier, so make the lining details 2-4 cm less than the parts of the main fabric.
  2. To make the skirt look voluminous and flared, make the lining length 1.5 times longer and the frills 2.
  3. If the volume of the top is 60 cm, then the length of the first tier of the lining should be 90 cm, and the frills - 120 cm.
  4. The second tier and subsequent are calculated based on the size of the previous ones. That is, the length of the lining of the second tier - 135 cm, and frills - 240 cm. The third - 202 cm for the lining and 360 cm for the frill.

If the fabric is thick, then the bottom lining is not needed

Sewing

The top of the dress is ordinary, so cutting and sewing it, we will make a belt.

You will need a strip of contrasting color with a width of 13 cm and a length equal to the volume of the top. Strip, folded along in half, stitch to the bottom of the top.

In frills, treat the lower edges with a narrow hem, and the upper ones, to the desired length.

Pad the upper edges as well. Then arrange all the parts in pairs, it will be more convenient to assemble the dress.

Retreating 1.5 cm from the edge of the back, because there will be a secret zipper sewn in, pin the frill with pins.

Put the first tier of the lining on the frill and pin it with pins, while ensuring that its sides coincide with the edges of the back, that is, there should be no indents. Sew through all layers.

Sew in the zipper, pin it to the top and lining, while the frill is not sewn.

To make the lining look beautiful, turn it out and stick it very close to the zipper using the appropriate foot.

Sew the second tier. Rectangles of both fabrics somkite in circles. Then pin the frill to the lining of the 1st tier, and on top of it lay the second lining and sew together.

Sew the third one in the same way.

If you want to hide the raw edges of the lining on the bodice, then turn the dress on the wrong side and tuck the edge.Fixing it with pins, stick it on the front side.

The dress can be decorated with flowers from the fabric as the belt.

Add small strips and form flowers, then sew to the belt.

Graduation

Coral-colored dress with a bow and lace trim is perfect for graduation. The advantage is that it can later be put on various events.

The top of the dress is made in a classic style, so make a pattern from the existing patterns or create a new one. If you do not have time to create a pattern, then try to circle your jersey top or top, just do not forget to make a zipper on the back.

  • Cut the details, sew the shoulder and side seams on the bodice.
  • Run the seams on the sleeves and sew the lace.
  • Gather the top of the sleeves and stitch them.
  • Process the neck by turning and then sew the lace strip.
  • Draw a rectangle for the skirt. The width depends on the desired pomp, as well as the height, on the desired length.
  • Fold skirt and stitch with top. Sew in the zipper and seam the skirt.
  • Do the hem.

Bow belt

The belt can be sewn or removable. In any case, take measurements of the girl's waist and open the belt. Sew a button on one end of it, and on the other make an eyelet, stitch a lace.

For the bow, open 3 stripes and also stitch lace. Putting the two bands together, sew a third to them.

And so, for you, we have prepared several options for sewing children's dresses. You just have to play with the fabrics, trim and to please your daughters with new clothes.
