Many live on the principle of Bender - "do not make food a cult." And it is difficult to convince a person who is used to making tea in a bag for a minute, that instead of a quick cup on the run, you can enjoy a truly well-brewed drink in beautiful dishes. And is it necessary for someone to prove it, if there are enough lovers of beautiful tea parties? And they probably have a teapot with a heated candle. And if not yet - it makes sense to look at the useful acquisition.

A bit of history

Teapots appeared a long time ago: in China, in the XIV century, according to artifacts, an object appeared that is still associated with tea drinking. Before the invention of the kettle, cups were used, and a noble drink was brewed in them. The leaves were crushed, thrown into a cup and poured boiling water.

Outwardly, the first teapots for brewing did not look like something especially: small vessels of red clay, however, capable of passing air. But the device itself was expensive, because the longer the liquid is inside, the richer the taste of tea. In Europe, only after 3 centuries, kettles appeared.

Even then there were teapots with a stand, only they were of no great value.

And only when China began to deliver porcelain or teapots of glass, they seriously increased in price.

Heated kettle device

In the device itself, a special trick is not to be found: in appearance, a teapot with a heating candle can resemble an aroma lamp. The candle will warm the air inside the tank, it will prevent the cooling of the liquid. And at this the function of the candle ends: it only allows you to maintain the temperature, but not to raise it, not to warm the contents of the kettle.

Although no, there is one more function of such a device - aesthetic. A glass teapot with a candle looks romantic and subtle., and if you want to turn a standard tea party into a conversation or relaxation, these teapots are an excellent tool.

In the process of heating the flame can not touch the bottom of the dishes, otherwise it will adversely affect the taste of tea, the kettle will quickly fail.

And if the material is not heat-resistant, you can say goodbye to the kettle. Therefore, manufacturers make deep and high stands with special candles located at the bottom.

Used to heat the candles in the sleeves, they are called - tea. You can buy the most simple, cheap candles, and you can find colored candles, glitter candles, scented candles. It all depends on how you see the tea drinking process, what flavors you like. Experiments help find the best option.

Choosing a tea set

When buying a heated teapot, it is immediately difficult to decide which particular kit to buy: you can buy a transparent glass teapot, or you can buy a ceramic one, with an interesting pattern.

Specifications

  • Glass attract with its transparency. Lightweight, seemingly weightless material allows the tea drinker to enjoy the processes taking place in the tank: the play of color and light, the flow of tea leaves and various fillings - this is still a pleasure for an esthete. For the manufacture of such kettles, heat-resistant glass is used, and if the glass is tempered, even temperature drops are not terrible to it.
  • Ceramic teapots are distinguished by high-quality, uniform heating. The most attractive in this group are porcelain teapots - they are the easiest and most elegant.The ceramics will be more rough, but, for example, in the interior of the country and the Provence ceramics will be organic. Faience makes the product more fragile, but it looks beautiful.
  • Cast iron kettles. They are the most difficult, but also the most warm. Even without heating, they can maintain the temperature for a long time. But if you have a stand, the kettle will not cool down in two hours. Very convenient option for lovers of long tea.

All options are worth considering, it is difficult to refuse aesthetics at least one of them. It all depends on which kitchen the kettle goes to, in which interior it will “live”.

What should be the stand?

Coincidence of materials - an optional condition. But the external compatibility and compatibility in size are mandatory. Finally, it is important that the kettle and stand have temperature compatibility. Usually in the configuration to the glass kettle are heaters made of heat-resistant glass. And it is convenient: a transparent stand does not interfere with the view, through it the candle itself and its flame are visible. But the stand must be reinforced with a metal insert - this will improve the safety and durability of the device.

In addition, the glass teapot can be combined with ceramic and stainless pedestal bases.

It looks very nice with a ceramic heater filter strainer inside a glass kettle. An interesting combination would be wood with steel. But cast iron with glass is practically incomparable, so there are no such combinations. Only cast iron is suitable for cast iron. By the way, such kettles are often not designed strictly for a candle, but also for red-hot coal.

Stand Options

  • Ball bowl. At the top of the tank will close the lid with holes. There may also be a wide mouth in the bottom parameters. If the model is made of cast iron, it is low, the coasters of glass and porcelain are higher.
  • Heart with a place under the candle in the middle. This option is good for everyone, but you cannot replace the candle without first removing the kettle from the stand. But ideally, replacing the candle can not violate the integrity of the structure for a minute.

If you like practical models in a minimalist solution, choose the option of stainless steel coasters.

Usually they are adapted to different bottom sizes. Very interesting models of coasters and from the cast-iron series: they are stylized as retro, look like family heirlooms.

Patina and copper models are authentic and self-sufficient, such people will not go out of fashion for a long time.

Tea and etiquette

To buy a kettle with a spectacular stand for heating is not to organize a beautiful tea drinking procedure. The flow is important, which really raises the appetite, adjusts for conversation and rest. Differences of a teapot with a stand for a candle from a traditional teapot are not so great that the etiquette describes this item in a special way.

Tea party rules:

  • the cup is held only by the ear; it is not necessary to insert a finger in the ear;
  • spoon for stirring is placed on a saucer or rests on its edge;
  • any decor for tea drinking (sometimes children are served with straws and umbrellas even for tea) the guest can keep;
  • do not drink tea with a spoon, it is needed only for stirring sugar;
  • Blowing tea in public is not worth it - while the drink is cooling, you can simply talk with the guests.

As for teapots with a stand, it makes sense to light a candle already at the table.

As long as you carry the kettle, it may go out, slip out, etc. Keep a couple of case candles in stock in case the tea-party drags on and you have to change the heating.

If you are making tea yourself or making hot tea lemonade, then a teapot with a candle is ideal for serving it. Behind the glass walls of the product will be circling berries and citrus slices, herbs and spices. Brewing itself becomes a small creative act, which is nice to see and guests. A good option in the event that guests are on the threshold (and unexpectedly), and you have time to quickly organize only tea.

Take a basic black or green tea, add to it two or three orange slices, a slice of lemon, raspberry berries and half a strawberry, currant leaves or mint. And all this brewed beauty and serve to the table: in a glass teapot, which will be heated in a special stand aromatic (or ordinary) candle. Guests will rejoice at this presentation and will want to try the picturesque drink faster, and you can be proud that even spontaneous visitors will not take you by surprise.
