Kulirny fabric

The name of the fabric comes from the French word "cooler", which translates as "bend." Her canvas is formed by a transverse plexus of filaments. On the front side, the kulirka pattern is of the same type, with a small pigtail, and on the wrong side, in the form of rectangles. This is a natural cotton fabric. To enhance its positive properties, synthetic or natural fibers can be added to it. But their number should not exceed 10%. Of the additional fibers used:

  • wool - keeps heat well and does not absorb odors;
  • silk - gives softness to the products;
  • polyester - protects things from shrinkage, increases durability, does not allow burning out under the action of ultraviolet, products from such kulirka crumple less;
  • Lycra - provides elasticity and elasticity of the fabric, increases strength by 30%.

The quality of the fabric includes such concepts as: peeling, that is, lint rolling, color fastness, deformation, etc. They are affected by the length of the fibers from which the fabric is woven. Based on this kulirku distinguished classes.

  • Oppen - low quality fabric with a fiber length of 27 mm. It is loose and prone to deformation. Poor color holds and strongly wrinkled. Most of it is made underwear.
  • Card - middle class fabric, fiber length - 35 mm. It has average quality characteristics.
  • Singing - premium fabric with a fiber length of 80 mm. As a rule, its threads are subjected to mercerization (treatment with caustic soda in solution). After that, the fabric is washed with hot and then with cold water. This method greatly improves the quality of matter: protects against fading, gives strength and silkiness. Its density can reach up to 200 g / m².

The color palette distinguishes monochromatic and melange kulirka. And it is very convenient to apply embroidery, photo printing, silk-screen printing to the fabric.

Kulirny fabric perfectly is suitable for tailoring of a kidswear: baby's undershirts, sliders, hats. As well as for an adult - T-shirts, dresses, skirts, sports sets are made from it. The fabric is very light and thin, therefore it is used for the production of summer clothes.

Kulirnuyu matter is used for the manufacture of bed linen, as well as bathrobes, nightgowns, pajamas. The needlewomen sew dolls and other toys from it.

Interlock properties

The name of the fabric in Russian translation from English means “crossing”. She owes this name to the peculiar weaving of her loops. Interlock is a knitted fabric that has exclusively cotton basis. Its peculiarity is that it is not woven, but knitted on special knitting machines. At the same time use needles located in 2 rows. Due to this, the fabric is characterized by high strength and density - up to 300 g / m². The hinges inside the web intersect in such a way that it is double, the same on both sides. On this occasion, it is also called dvastic or double knitwear.

Interlock is rather soft, gentle and pleasant to the body knitwear. But it is much denser than many of its other varieties.

Its main characteristics are:

  • durability - things from this material possess high wear resistance;
  • resistance - it stretches a little worse in width, unlike other types of knitwear, but keeps its shape well and does not undergo deformation with proper care.

The quality of the interlock is divided into 3 classes: singing, ring (or card), opposite - higher, middle and lower respectively. Their properties depend on the length of the threads. Also the quality of the product is affected by the presence of additional threads in it. If this is allowed, the fabric loses its uniqueness. You can always identify low-quality goods by the presence of villi on it. They are the evidence of synthetic impurities. The natural interlock has an absolutely smooth surface, since it is 100% cotton.

Thanks to its delicate and natural texture, it turns out great children's things. They do not irritate the skin of the baby, they are warm and comfortable. In addition to children's knitwear, all kinds of clothing for adults is made of matter: bathrobes, dresses, clothes for sports, skirts, etc. Due to its density, the interlock is used for sewing warm clothes for the cold season.

General and various

In general, interlock and cooler have a lot in common.

They combine the following qualities:

  • hypoallergenic;
  • resistance to wear;
  • ease of care;
  • practicality in use;
  • elasticity;
  • comfort;
  • hygroscopicity

Canvases differ among themselves, first of all, in density. Interlock is thicker in structure than kulirka. If the thickness of the first is capable of reaching up to 300 g / m², then the curly cloth has a density of maximum 200 g / m². Due to this, the interlock is naturally much warmer, but more dense. Kulirka is easier to feel and passes the air well. Due to its strength, the interlock matter is a little less stretched, but also less deformed. Kulirnoe cloth more prone to distortion.

Another important difference is that the interlock does not allow arrows on the canvas. Kulirnaya matter can. They, as a rule, depart from a seam and go along a cloth. Interlock tissue does not have a front and back side - they are identical in structure. In kulirnoy matter 2 sides differ from each other. If the cooler is mainly used for sewing clothes and underwear, then bed linen, bedspreads and curtains are also produced from the interlock.

It is difficult to say which fabric is better. Due to their structure, they have a different purpose. One is good in summer, the other in winter. Therefore, choosing among 2 canvases, should be guided by its purpose.

Despite some differences, both matters have the same care requirements:

  • wash water temperature - up to 40 ° (too hot water can lead to shrinkage or stretching of products);
  • delicate spin;
  • Do not bleach;
  • to dry on the towel laid out so that things do not stretch out;
  • iron at low temperature from the wrong side;
  • Keep wet clothes out of the sun as it burns out quickly.

Interlock and cooler - practical and high-quality knitwear. Each of them has its own area of application: an interlock will warm you in cold weather, and a cooler will allow the body to breathe in hot weather. Choose for yourself only upscale matter. Only this way you will get a worthwhile product and the pleasure of using it.
