If there are children in the house, or you yourself are fond of creative processes in the form of modeling clay, it is quite possible that you had to deal with such a problem as the removal of contaminants obtained through this material. The difficulty of removing clay, of course, is incommensurable with the attempt to remove the stain of red wine from a white sofa, however, you will have to tinker with it, especially given the area and localization of the "clay" in the cleanliness and order.

How to remove from hard surface?

Of course, the best option when you have managed a little blood and all you need is to simply wash the clay from wood, glass or plastic. For example, in the event that they were smeared with a table, toys or special children's boards for modeling. This process does not take much time and effort. So, to erase clay from toys or boards, it will be enough collect hot water in a wide container and place contaminated objects for a few minutes. The material will quickly melt, and you can easily scrape off the remnants of it with a plastic knife or an alternative that is on hand, for example, with an old discount plastic card. After it is enough to wipe the object with a clean cloth dipped in soapy water or a mixture of ammonia with hydrogen peroxide (in a 1 to 1 ratio).

With the table, the action is almost repeated. Prepare a warm soap solution, wet the place of pollution and gently remove it with a sponge and scraper. Do not scratch the wood or glass surface. If the clay is not rubbed off the table immediately, try to heat the defect with a hair dryer, so he will become more obedient, and you can again apply a sponge with soapy water.

Removing from textiles

Still, it is easy to remove wax and other plasticine components from plastic and wood, but what if the clothing was damaged? First, remove the top layer with a plastic knife or any other similar object. Then you can apply two contrasting, but effective ways: cooling or heating. The first will reduce the sticky properties of plasticine, and it is better to separate from the fibers of the fabric. Options for freezing things:

  • packed in polyethylene, put in the freezer;
  • attach ice cubes to the spot;
  • apply a special cooling spray.

After this procedure, the clay spot will harden, and it can be cleaned with a plastic knife or a stiff brush.

When you don't feel like freezing your hands, turn on the iron. If using the components of ice clay frozen, the heater melts them. The method will help to cope with the problem on thick fabrics, such as jeans or pants. To do this, you need to take a few paper napkins and place one under the soiled place, and the second over the cloth.

Not including the steam effect, you need to iron the cloth a couple of times, as a result of which the clay will remain on it.

Remove greasy stain

Unfortunately, removing a significant part of the sticky material, it will still remain a stain in the form of particles of dye and fat stuck into the fabric. For its subsequent removal it is possible to apply household soap, ammonia, vegetable oil or dish detergent.

One third of the usual piece of laundry soap is recommended to grate. Then fill this soap shavings with water until a thick foam is formed, where you should place the spoiled item and rub the stain with soap.Half an hour later, the problem area must be brushed and the thing washed, as usual. The method is effective for materials of all types, but with delicate things should be careful - it is better not to perform too much brushing.

If the shelf was ammonia - you can safely use it. To do this, dissolve 10 drops of the substance in 200 ml of water. A spot of small size should be treated with this solution using a cotton pad, and then wash the clothes completely. Strongly soiled thing is allowed to soak for half an hour. The composition of the solution is the same, just increase the volume according to the outgoing proportions.

And, finally, one of the easiest and most effective methods to remove greasy stains from clay on clothes. Good for the fact that dishwashing detergent with vegetable oil is almost always at home in stock. It is enough to wet the cotton pad with oil and rub them with a problem for several minutes.

This will dissolve the fat, then treat the trail with the agent and leave the thing for an hour. A subsequent wash will completely remove contamination.

How to clean the wallpaper?

However, it is possible to soil not only objects and clothes - children know a lot about it. If the clay was on the wallpaper, and you do not see it as a conceptual decoration of the wall, arm with several objects to get rid of the stain quickly. In the case when smooth sheets were damaged, be sure to prepare the following:

  • scraper;
  • hair dryer;
  • dry cloth;
  • sponge and detergent.

First, try to get rid of the upper layer of clay with gentle movements using a scraper. Smear not worth it, just scrape. After removing the top of the contamination, plug in the hair dryer. Heat a stain with it, and then blot with a napkin. You can repeat these steps several times in a row. In the case of wallpaper, there may also remain a greasy stain after being soiled with clay, therefore it is necessary to use a sponge, after wetting it in a soap solution. It is not necessary to pour water on the stain, as well as thicken a sponge. It is enough to moisten, squeeze and rub the stained place.

After that, it remains to dry the treated area with a hair dryer.

Cleaning different textures

Embossed wallpaper, damaged by clay, will require additional clay, no matter how strange it may sound. Nothing frightening, it just has to be white and used like an absorbent. To do this, you need to put white clay on top of the sticky and try to sharply tear it from the wallpaper. It should not be strongly kneaded, the material should not melt. The procedure is best repeated several times.

Then do the same steps as in the case of smooth. We heat the problem area with a hair dryer, then we try to get rid of the remnants of pollution with a napkin.

A trace in the form of a greasy stain will help scrub the sponge soaked in pre-prepared soapy water.

Additional life hacking: if you didn’t have a hair dryer, try to gently melt the clay with a heated iron or a usual wet napkin. And be sure to keep in mind that a dry paper napkin used in removing clay should ideally be white, without drawings and marks. Otherwise, you can manage to worsen an already polluted place.

Blue, red, green or any other color - ordinary clay will still be sticky. Do not worry if he stuck where not needed. To do this, there are simple methods that will help solve the problem, even at home.
