Model and Pattern
General rules state that the style of dress is chosen depending on the celebration and features of the figure. The same applies to its version.
If we talk about the Greek evening dress, then it is characterized by simplicity of design, draperies or folds. And how they will be settled for you.
So, having decided on the model, go to the creation or search pattern - this is the second step. You can find it on the Internet or in magazines.
Note that the pattern of evening dress will not be very different from the pattern for casual wear. The difference is in the depth of the neckline, the presence of a cut, bold drapery options. The simulation takes place on the main workpiece, which we will discuss later.

The choice of fabric

Modeling dresses in the Greek style
Let's start the modeling itself. Take the pattern of the base of the dress and load it into the program for modeling or transfer the main points with lines to the tracing paper.

In the drawing, draw an insert under the chest line. To do this, from points С and С1, lay down 4-5 cm and connect new points of the line. From this line, put another 8 or 9 cm (insert width) down and connect the dots with a line.
Close the darts. The insert will be solid and without seams. Make both inserts smooth lines.
Mark on the drawing, taking into account the features of the model, the throat (in the figure it is marked in pink). Its width is 1.5-2 cm.The neck on each shoulder seam is expanded by 2.5-3 cm from m. G.
Transfer the solution of the chest tuck G2-N1-G3 into the neck of the dress. Or translate it into a cutting line under the breast. To do this, draw a line, perpendicular to the neckline. (It is shown in red). The displaced parts of the neck are indicated by numbers 1 and 2.
Close the dart G2-N1-G3 by moving the piece N1-G2-1-2 (connect the points G2 and G3).
Smooth line decorate the armhole of the dress, as shown in the diagram.
To garnish the bodice shelf, expand it with cuts, they are highlighted in blue in the image. Cut and move the pattern apart so that each cut is enlarged by 3-4 cm. Decorate the irregular line of the neck with a smooth line.
To form soft folds, extend the bottom of the back and shelves of the dress by 15-20 cm.
Cutting
The preparatory stage is completed. The finished details of the pattern dresses in the Greek style look like. Now you need to translate them into fabric. Pin the paper details to the fabric with pins. Circle them with chalk or remnant, taking into account seam allowances and cut them. Process edges if necessary.
Sewing
Details of the dress are also collected alternately:
