Qualitatively made french on short nails is a classic manicure, providing medium or short nails with a free white square or oval shape. As a rule, the French version is carried out in the natural colors, and the bed of the nail plate has a shade as close as possible to the skin color.

The advantages of the popular decor

Shellac French for short nails is one of the popular manicure options, and this is the explanation. Its undoubted advantages are the following:

  • aesthetic, impeccable appearance, which is relevant both for a normal day and for a holiday;
  • restraint tones allows you to use a similar design in combination with any clothing and cosmetics;
  • A manicure can be performed on short and medium nails.

Many women of fashion have become fond of this type of care and décor and, for a more prosaic reason, nails treated in this way do not need to be corrected for two weeks, so when going on vacation, you do not need to take manicure accessories with you.

How to prepare nails?

French manicure can be done at home, using ordinary varnishes, or use the services of a professional master in the salon. At home, you will need a bulk file, napless napkins or paper handkerchiefs, a degreaser, a UF lamp (36 W), and a primer as a cleaning and disinfecting agent. Instead of a degreaser, you can take acetone or alcohol, but these tools can make the nail color less expressive. Performing a manicure yourself, the first thing you need to do the following preparation of nails:

  • French-style coating requires careful dry processing of the nail plates, so at the beginning they need to be trimmed, giving the same length;
  • after this, the cuticle is gently removed, and its excess is carefully removed;
  • further, there follows grinding with the aid of a buff — a special, volumetric block, which, like the rest of the instruments, must first be decontaminated with a disinfectant preparation;
  • degreasing is the final stage before coating, while it is better to use products that do not contain alcohol or special napkins.

Shellacs must be prepared in advance - base and top, for protection and final consolidation. You will need two color coatings - any pastel and white.

Grape seed oil is needed to restore the skin of the cuticle after the harmful effects of an ultraviolet lamp and mechanical damage during processing.

Creating a classic manicure shellac

The application technique involves several steps. Having finished with hygienic and mechanical preparation, after which the nail already has a certain shape, You can proceed to the main part of the procedure by performing the following algorithm:

  • First, a transparent base (one layer) is applied with a wide brush and dried in a UF-lamp for two minutes;
  • then a colored, single-layer coating is made, as a rule, beige or light coffee, it needs to be dried a little longer - three minutes;
  • on the third, a “smile” is created, that is, the regrown part of the nail is stained, special stencils can be used to make the edge more distinct;
  • at the end, a fixing, finishing shellac is applied to the plate - its layer should be quite thick, and it should be dried for about five minutes.

Important! All layers should be thin, with the exception of the final, and completely dried.

Design options

Universal design is done using a transparent base and white edging, but there are other types of manicure, which will be suitable for different cases, namely:

  • two-color or multi-color french - when nails are made in the same palette or different shades are used for different nails - this technique is similar to the classic coating, but brighter tones are chosen;
  • reverse (moon) decor - when the nail plate at the base, covered with a contrasting color, forms a crescent;
  • millennium - in this case, the main part of the nail is covered with a pastel, nude tint, while the edging may be brighter and contain a metallic sheen;
  • decorative coating - This is an additional decoration with applications, beads, images.

The most popular colors when performing a service jacket are: beige, white, peach, salmon, coffee, turquoise and pink. The original option is a jacket with a pattern - to do this, you must cover the nail with a decor before applying the finishing layer. Another type of design is the decoration with sparkles and rhinestones that you can easily make yourself, besides, the pebbles can hide some defects. The most difficult to perform is considered to be a multifurture jacket, which combines a matte and glossy finish. Volumetric manicure also applies to complex procedures that are best performed by a qualified master.
